Reusing cloth grocery bags
Well, I must remind you we are all about baby steps here. Because this achievement seems so small...
Coming our of our GreenGroup meeting earlier this week, Erin mentioned that she reuses paper bags for grocery shopping, until they are falling apart. Now here's the key: each time she empties the groceries out, she puts the bags back in her car so they are ready for the next trip to the grocery store.
My attempts at reusing bags have always failed in the past because I've neglected to get them back in the car. But now I realize I just have to turn this last step into a habit. I did easily find 5 cloth tote bags from various trade shows that were just collecting dust in the house. Now they are my designated cloth shopping bags.
Maybe this doesn't even qualify as baby steps (crawling perhaps?). In any case, it's progress for me.
