Beauty may be skin deep, but the chemicals go deeper

This green-living business is starting to snowball. A month ago I wouldn't have believed that my way of thinking could have so radically shifted, but here I am, tackling the next big change: skin care. This is a pretty personal subject, and everyone has their favorite brands for their type of skin. I was a die-hard Lancome user for years, until I became a Neutrogena user to save money. Now I read about the harsh chemicals in these products, and it particularly bothers me when I think about how I've slathered my kids with questionable lotions, soaps and shampoos their whole lives.

So I'm in the market for a new skin care regime. I suspect the best thing I could do for my skin is eat healthier foods and drink more water, and that's on the to-do list. But I'd love some suggestions for a plant or vegetable-based facial cleanser and moisturizer. Is there such a thing as a natural wrinkle cream? And how about the kids? Any natural shampoos, soaps or lotions that you can recommend?
