Jean-Michel Cousteau to speak @ Muddy Boot Festival Sept. 7

Cousteau The Muddy Boot Organic Festival is something I'm really, really looking forward to this September. It is a three-day celebration (Sept. 7-9) of sustainable living, and there will be a slew of amazing local musicians, as well as organic food and drinks, beer and wine, kids’ activities, information booths and educational workshops. One of the most impressive parts of the festival is the keynote speaker: Jean-Michel Cousteau, the son of the late ocean explorer Jacques Cousteau. Jean-Michel is the founder of the Ocean Futures Society and is an avid explorer, environmentalist, educator and film producer. The presentation will be held on Friday, Sept. 7 at 7pm at St. Philip Neri Church. Tickets are available for $35 each on the Web site or call 503-231-4955.
