Opting out of phone book deliveries

You pretty much have to pay me to pick up the phone and call someone. So the idea of opting out of the phone book sounds pretty good to me. Hope sent an email about just that:

Has anyone done this?  I think I get about 5 new phone books a year. I found this post. Just wondering what others may have experienced doing this.

I too seem to get not only the baby-bell endorsed yellow pages and white pages each year, but several imitation yellow pages. I keep the Dex phone books, but all the others go straight to the recycle bin. The stat of 540 million phone books a year is mind-boggling. Here are the phone numbers of the major players:
