2008 Green Resolution #26...Accomplished!
I finally did it! I know others have already ruled out the use of paper towels for awhile now...but I just hadn't taken that plunge yet. As easy as it sounds, I thought it would be hard one for me! I have grown up with Bounty paper towels for as long as I can remember. We didn't have a lot of money growing up, but my mom would ONLY buy Bounty paper towels...because they are the best! I have, of course, followed in her footsteps for many many years now and have sworn by my paper towels. I pledged that this would be the year that I give them up; indeed, my addiction to my paper towels would end!
Just last week I used the last towel on the last roll. I was scared. But, to my surprise--it's been really easy to give them up!! Now, we just use towels/cloth napkins from the drawer and it works just fine. I'm not sure why I was so stressed out about it? I think the only thing I'm somewhat bummed about is there will be no more paper towel tube trumpets in my house... ah well...
So, are there any "Green" New Years Resolutions that you have already accomplished this year that you'd like to share?
