Donors Resource makes it easy to donate items

Donorsresource It's spring cleaning time, isn't it? Can you believe all the stuff you've accumulated? Where does it come from? Sometimes it can be really overwhelming to try and figure out where to take items to be donated. We aren't fans of the big 'non-profit' thrift stores here at EnviroMom corporate headquarters, so we like to identify organizations that work to help people in our communities. Now there's a Web site that has made this task even easier: Donors Resource. We've posted about it before, but the site has been recently revamped and bulked up. There are a couple of different ways to use the site:

1) You can search for non-profits based on items you have to donate: furniture, CDs, toys, musical instruments, etc.

2) You can post the descriptions and photos of items you have to donate, and non-profit organization will contact you if they are in need of those items and will arrange pick-up or drop-off.

The site is free to both non-profits and donors and makes it really easy to get your goods into the hands of people who really need them. Right now the site only serves Oregon and Washington, but they plan to expand it across the nation. Woo hoo!
