Our site sponsors rock!
We're pretty particular about our site sponsors here at EnviroMom corporate headquarters. So we're always excited when a new one comes along that we can really get amped about. So you can imagine our excitement when THREE new sponsors cropped up that really walk their talk. Let's meet them:
Stubby Pencil Studio: I wish I'd known about Stubby Pencil Studio before I went out and bought several packs of Crayola colored pencils as birthday gifts. I much prefer the ones made from Forest Stewardship Council managed forests! This site has a wealth of eco-friendly art supplies and other kid-oriented crafty products. All of the paper products are printed on chlorine-free recycled paper from 100% consumer waste and are made-to-order and hand assembled in owner Kate Rosenthal's Tualatin, Oregon studio. Through April, you get three darling, chemical-free, rubberwood monkey pencils FREE with every order. Nice work, Kate!
Zola Goods: This company was founded by Beth Remmes, who is using the 'home party' model to educate consumers about the importance of buying eco-friendly products. I love that her model is completely transparent -- if you become a Zola Goods Coordinator, you aren't pressured to sign up other coordinators. You just host your parties and get a commission on the products sold. Very straightforward. Her product range is great -- reusable bags, green cleaning kits, light bulbs, you name it -- and you can order direct from her Web site (you don't have to attend a party). So it's a great source if you're looking for a particular product, and an excellent way to educate others about sustainability while making an income. Welcome, Zola!
Milagros Boutique: If you live in Portland, chances are you've heard about Milagros, because they are very active in the community. Owners Tony and Jennifer Fuentes opened this charming NE Portland
boutique in 2004 and are passionate ambassadors for attachment parenting, cloth diapering and breast feeding. You know the minute you walk into the shop that their goal is to encourage parents to raise their children in the most healthful, natural way possible. The store is chock full of goods from local clothing and toy manufacturers, organic cotton clothing for tots and mothers, non-toxic wooden toys, the list goes on. What's cooler? About half their square footage is a big living room where kids can play while parents shop, or where they hold community events. Renee and I held our latest clothing swap at Milagros, and it was a superb gathering space. Love it!
Our other site sponsors have been with us for a long time, and we thank them so much! We've written a bajillion times about New Seasons Market, and both Renee and I are longtime users of PH12.6. Thanks, all!
