Plastic and waste free lunchbox ideas

I will confess, I am counting the days until school starts. I long to be packing lunches then waving goodbye to my school-bound kids. I'm not the only one thinking about school. Christy, a reader, is looking for plastic free lunch ideas. Maybe you can help:

Hi there...I'm a reader from the midwest...nowhere near you, but your blog has such great ideas!  I have a question...what are some suggestions for reusable containers for my daughters school lunches? We have gone plastic container-free at our house so the usual suspects don't work and I'm concerned about sending glass in a lunch box. Any ideas? Thanks.
