Portland: be part of the record-breaking simultaneous breastfeeding event on August 6

Whew, that was kind of a mouthful. (Drum beat)

Update: I originally had this listed as August 16 -- it is actually August 6. Sorry!

No seriously, this is pretty cool. On Friday, August 6, breastfeeding moms and their babes will come together at locations all around Portland to attempt to break New Zealand's record for most mom's nursing simultaneously in one city. (New Zealand, population 4,268,900, had 1299 moms participate.) But in the grander scheme of things, Portland's Big Latch-Onis raising awareness of the importance of breastfeeding and helping nursing moms become more comfortable with nursing in general. To take part, go to one of the host venues by 10am to register and become a part of breastfeeding history! Venues include the Westside Academy of Kung Fu, Zenana Spa, Milagros Boutique, Bella Stella and several other locations.
