Build It Green! is Sept. 15, but get tickets soon

It may still be a month away, but tickets for the Build It Green! tour will go on sale next Wednesday, August 15. I'm betting this tour will sell-out quickly, especially after the tantalizing story on Sabin Green in today's Oregonian Home & Gardens. This quirky development is a model of green building brilliance -- four homes nestled on one standard 75 by 100 foot city lot. (You have to see the pictures to believe it.) The houses share a central courtyard, a cob guest retreat (a Mark Lakeman signature) and bicycle shed. Sabin Green will be on the self-guided tour among 21 new and remodeled homes and condos. I can't wait!

Tickets for the tour can be purchased online from the Office of Sustainable Development or at Environmental Building Supplies. $15 adults; $10 car-free/student/seniors; free for kids under 14.
