Salmon Festival at Oxbow: October 13-14

The 24th annual Salmon Festival at Oxbow Regional Park will be on October 13 and 14. The Salmon Festival celebrates the return of the fall chinook to the Sandy River.

The festival offers interactive exhibits, nature walks, engaging activities for children, arts and crafts demonstrations, music and storytelling, horse-drawn wagon rides, a salmon barbecue and food court, and the Wy-Kan-Ush-Pum Village hosted by the fishing tribes of the Columbia River Basin. Fear not the rain clouds, as the festival is ready for whatever Mother Nature brings with entertainment, exhibits, children's activities and food areas under cover.

The entry fee is $8 per vehicle or $12 per bus. No pets, please. For more information, call the Regional Parks and Greenspaces Department at (503) 797-1850 or email to metroparks@metro-region.org.
